A book containing 288 images of the New Zealand maritime scence from the collection of Museum of Wellington City and Sea. They were taken in period 1950 - 1970, the era when convential cargo ships still plied the waters and people heeded overseas on passenger liners and not aircraft. Included are large ocean going ships, smaller coastal traders, ferries, service vessels, ports large and small and wharf scences.
