62 Holmbank New ZealandAdditional NotesHolmbank was an unlucky ship and not liked by many ship masters. She was one of the first vessels on the NZ coast that had a controllable pitch propeller which did things to a ship completely different from the conventional propeller. Her career in Holm and Company was short lived running ashore on rocks near the entrance to Akaroa Harbour on a voyage in thick fog from Timaru to Wellington.
