1983 Taiwanese shipbrokers Bangkok Additional NotesThe second of a series of 6 vessels of the collier series. Launched at the yard of Henry Robb, Leith by Mary Wootton, Miss New Zealand, 1948. For twenty years she was well known around the New Zealand coast delivering coal from the West Coast ports of Greymouth and Westport. In June 1960 she broke a loading record in Greymouth when 2926 tons of coal was loaded in 7.5 hours. After been sold to overseas interests she spent another 14 years trading in the Far East.
