1935 Japanese ship breakers Osaka.Additional NotesOne of the finest trans Tasman passenger ships which was a favourite with passengers. Broke many passage records between Melbourne and Sydney, Wellington and Sydney and Bluff to Hobart. One of the first turbine ships to cross the Pacific.
Left Sydney on 3 July 1935 in tow of OONAH but broke adrift in heavy weather 5 days later and went ashore on Frazer Island north of Brisbane where it remains to this day.Hull used as target practice by RAAF during WW2.
