Additional NotesA Priestman grab dredge mounted on a pontoon. Two similar craft were owned by the Board, one built in 1883 and sold to Lyttelton Harbour Board in 1903 and the other which was still used until the 1920's. They were used to dredge around the wharves and the spoil loaded in to "silt punts" which were built by T G Freeman at Wellington in 1883.
