1942-1944 Japanese Navy HOKI MARUAdditional NotesThis 7113 ship was the first motor ship in USSCo using 14 tons of oil fuel per day. All her winches were powered by electricity. She was the 41st ship built by Denny's for Union Company. Employed mainly on North American service. She was captured by Japanese surface craft in the Pacific in 1942 and converted to transport HOKI MARU. Bombed and sunk by US carrier planes at Truk, Caroline Islands 17 February 1944.
