This latest book by Peter Plowman presents all the ocean liners which transported migrants to both countries in the period 1900 to 1939 (a second volume covering the period from 1945 to 1977 is planned.)
Most of these ships transported British immigrants, but there was also a steady flow from Italy and Germany. Each ship is presented with one or more photos, specifications and a concise but comprehensive life history.
In all the book has 192 pages in A4 format, softcover with a colour color featuring a specially commissioned painting of the Zealandic off the NZ coast.
